Life in Reykjavik suburb Breidholt - New in June 2011!
The suburb Breidholt, only 20 minutes by bus from the centre, is the first suburb in Reykjavik. It was built in the seventies and designed by a Danish architect. During this tour you see schools and blocs of hourses showing how the Icelandic families have been and are living today. On the tour we also discuss modern families, the school system etc.
In this tour we take the bus to Breidholt. When we get there we start walking through Nedra-Breidholt to Efra-Breidholt and again back to Nedra-Breidholt while the guide tells stories about life in the suburb during the seventies and eighties and today.

Walking Tours in town Hafnarfjordur
Estimated duration: 2,5 hours. Meeting point outside the tourist information office in Hafnarfjordur’s centre. In the tour we’ll walk through the lava and visit churches, galleries, boutiques, a park and the spectacular coast in Hafnarfjordur. You even get some free time to peak into the museums in town.

Let’s take a drive through the town in the lava and the town of the hidden people, the old town of Hafnarfjordur, only 10-15 minutes’ drive from Reykjavík, Iceland. In this tour we’ll hear about the history of the town and the architecture as we pass the buildings in the old town. We’ll visit churches, galleries, boutiques, a park, the lava and the spectacular coast in Hafnarfjörður. We’ll even visit the geothermal area in Krysuvik if time permits.
Price: 50 Euros per person or ISK 8.000 per person. Pick-up is included in the price. Estimated duration: 2,5-3 hours.

Let’s drive through Reykjavík city, Iceland. In this tour we’ll hear about the history of the city of Reykjavik and the architecture in Iceland as we pass the buildings. We’ll see the main buildings of the Icelandic people and see the old harbour with the whaling boats. We’ll visit churches, the old grave yard and a park. And of course we will see some of the newest parts of the icelandic capital and neighboring communities, e.g. the residence of the president in Iceland. We’ll take a few breaks on the way and get out of the bus.

In the tour we see the main buildings in the heart of Reykjavik, the capital of iceland, the parliament, City council, the old harbor with the whaling boats, University of Iceland, the National Museum in Iceland, the National Theatre and a flea market during weekends.
