We drive from Reykjavik to the south coast of Iceland. We will be driving past the glacier Eyjafjallajokull, glacier Mýrdalsjokull (with volcano Katla) and Europe's biggest glacier Vatnajokull (with volcano Grimsvotn). We will drive as far as to the village Kirkjubæjarklaustur that was most affected by the recent eruption in Grimsvotn and see the most affected farms. On the way the guide explains about the eruption and how it felt in the area during the eruption.

We will take several breaks on the way, e.g. in Kirkjubaejarklaustur village, at the famous waterfalls Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, in front of farm Thorvaldseyri. There is a small museum in Thorvaldseyri with a short film telling the story of the farmer's family during the eruption (ISK 800 per person extra).

Price is ISK 27.000 per person, a minimum of 2 persons. Pick-up for free. Duration is 8-9 hours. Departure at 9.30am. This is a long drive.

Wonderland of Reykjanes peninsula!

We drive from Reykjavik to the Reykjanes peninsula of Iceland, visiting Keflavik, the town of rock'n'roll in Iceland, and proceeding to the former US air base. Then we drive to the toe of Reykjanes peninsula visiting some light houses and magnificent cliffs and rocks. In geothermal area Krysuvik we see the beautiful geysers and boiling water and mud in the ground before we head back to Reykjavik. We drive through some towns and villages on our way seeing some beautiful churches, light houses and black sand beaches.

Price: ISK 25.000 per person. Free for kids 11 and younger. 50% off for 12-17. Minimum: 2 grown-ups. Group offers available. Duration: 7-8 hours.

 

Snaefellsnes - the centre of the earth!

A day tour to the Snaefellsnes peninsula in Iceland , visiting the national park and getting as close as possible to the magnificent glacier Snaefellsjokull (depending on the time of year). The story (film) A Journey to the Centre of the Earth by Jules Verne is supposed to take place in the glacier.

We take breaks at many beautiful parts of the national park on the peninsula, going down to the beach and seeing rock formations and other natural phenomena if possible. We also visit the small villages on the peninsula. You get the possibility to visit some museums if you like.

Duration: Up to 12 hours.

Vestman Islands of Iceland!

Pick-up is at 7am at your hotel. We drive to Landeyjahöfn in Iceland where we take the ferry to the Vestman Islands, Iceland. We drive and walk around the village and visit the Icelandic volcano Helgafell that erupted in the 1970s. Some of us might even be interested in some activities, sailing around the islands (not included in price) or hiking/walking on the famous volcano Eldfell. During the tour we get information about the eruption in 1973 and the history and life on the islands.

You get some free time before we head back to Reykjavik at 3.30. We will arrive to your hotel at 6-7pm.

Price: ISK 98.000 or 565 Euros for up to 6 passengers. Group offers available. Duration: up to 12 hours.

This tour is only available during the summer when the ferry is going.
