Mountain Climbing offers tours to see the volcano Eyjafjallajokull on the southern coast of Iceland.
We drive as close to the volcano as possible and see the glacier up close. We proceed to farm Þorvaldseyri and Seljavellir at the other side of the volcano. Both farms, Fljótsdalur and Þorvaldseyri, got heavy amounts of ash during the eruption. Þorvaldseyri got famous through interviews with the big world news agencies during the eruptions. On this tour you see some of the most famous waterfalls in Iceland, Seljalandsfoss and Skogafoss. You can also get the opportunity to visit (and swim in) a mountain pool. Please notice that there are no facilities there so you won't be able to take a shower.
